26 week picture :)

Again - this isn't the best picture ever.  I was home with just Donsters...I've been bugging Trent to get a new belly pic for a long time, but he's so busy he just hasn't had time.  So - after I went on my morning walk with Donavan I decided to snap a quick picture.  Please excuse me - I hadn't had a shower yet.....but as you can see I'm expanding quite quickly.  This little one is such a busy little guy - I think he's a soccer player already!  My stomach jumps and moves so much you can see it through my shirt already.  I've tried hiding it somewhat by putting my had over it, however - my hand just jumps right along with it.  He's up kicking most of the night, so to say the least I'm not getting much sleep.  Guess he's just getting me ready for when he arrives ;)  My back has started aching...not that I wasn't expecting that - it hurts with each baby, but I'm certainly not excited for it!  Thank goodness for the heating pad set onto low - it helps a little bit.  Trent keeps reminding me how little time we have left....I think that is easy for him to say - it sure seems like its taking forever with as little sleep as I have been getting!

He will surly recognize the voice of his big brother Donsters....he wants the baby to kick him any time he puts his hand onto my stomach.  When I inform him that the baby is sleeping, he yells "wate up baby!!"  and then puts his hand back to see if it worked.  He asks almost daily if the baby is big enough to come out yet....he's getting excited to see HIS baby brother (no one else can have claim to the baby....it's HIS baby - too cute!!)

I had jury duty yesterday - it was very interesting.  Out of the 35 people there I had to be one of the 6 chosen to sit and hear the trial.  I'm amazed that such stupid and seemingly petty things make it to court...however, since it was there I, along with the other jurors, had to sit and listen to all of the testimony and decide who was a liar and who wasn't.  I suppose it wasn't much different from being a mom - we do that all the time with our kids don't we?  We try to reach the most logical answer looking at all of the circumstances, the words said, the actions taken, and the final outcomes.  I just find it sad when 2 grown men have such different stories of the same day....if everyone would just grow up, act like an adult, and KEEP THEIR HANDS TO THEMSELVES (sounds familiar doesn't it??) this world would be a lot better off.

We are also going to start building into our basement.  The boys are getting SO big, they really do need a bedroom of their own.  My wonderful father-in-law has volunteered to help out and is going to spend some weekends over here helping Trent get it put together.  We plan on giving the boys their own room with new beds, dressers, and a desk for their Christmas presents so we really do need to get going on it.  It will be good for them to have their own space - and in so doing Madds will also get her own room.  She is SO excited - and wants to paint it purple with sparkles, flowers, dots, and hearts.  Hmmmm....I might have to tone it down a bit :) but I am excited to be able to get her into her own princess room.  Jax wants his painted orange....he's strange I know, but I'm thinking I might be able to find a color that isn't too bad and just paint one wall that color and the rest a nice tan or cream to match.  Pierce wants blue - he's easy.  I'm hoping to find some of those wall stickers that will fit their personalities - so in your wandering if you find anything alien, race car, old sailing boats....or the like that would work for a teenager please let me know.  :)

I love "kid" talk :)

We are looking into finishing our basement - because we're going to have to now with baby #5 on the way.  So we thought we'd spend some time at RC Willey just looking at furniture for the boy's rooms and at some sectionals to go into the family room.  We had found a sectional that had the recliners built in - so all of us were in a recliner....except Donsters.  He was standing alone watching all of us - so I asked him if he'd like to come and try it out and sit down.  He said....."No, that taco EAT ME!"  Oh my goodness we all just DIED of laughter!!  He is just the cutest thing ever!! ;)

My little runner...okay so he's not so little anymore!

It was time once again for Piercen's Jr. High School's 5K for spirit week.  Last year Piercen came in 2nd overall and 1st in the 7th grade.  This year he was having a hard time getting ready for it.  He was trying to wake up early to run a mile or 2, but....he is in 8th grade and waking up even 2 seconds early is quite a chore.  He did get a few runs in - but I was really nervous.  The Saturday before Trent took both boys on a 6 1/2 mile run...crazy I know!  But they both did really well and were proud of themselves.
So day of the race arrives, Piercen didn't sleep well because he was SO excited.  And of course its the same day as our 1st cold weather storm.  It was windy (I mean Tooele wind windy) rainy and cold.  15 minutes before the race was scheduled to start I called just to make sure they weren't cancelling due to rain...but they didn't. (Thankfully by ten minutes into the race it cleared up nicely for them).  I met Pierce at the starting line, helped him with his itouch and the earbuds and wished him luck.  The 1st 1/2 of the race was uphill so I reminded him not to gun it right out of the block...he didn't and was at the back of the pack when I headed back for the shelter of the truck out of the rain.  Trent and Maddie were waiting for him at the 1/2 way mark to help cheer him on....they then went to a crucial turn that had to be made in the race.  I must say that this was an EXTREMELY unorganized race...the route was terrible, they didn't have people at the turns to be sure everyone was going the correct route...thank goodness Trent and I drove the route with Pierce the night before...3 of the boys who were ahead of Pierce at one point didn't turn in the correct spot and got lost - poor kids!  Anyway - Trent called to let me know he was coming.  I tried to find where the end of the race was, but NO ONE knew where it was!  Seriously???  So Pierce came up and ran by asking where the end was - I was only able to tell him to keep going and someone would let him know.  They ended up running at least 3.3 miles in my estimation - they had them end running up a steep grass hill into the crowd of waiting kids (not that the school photographer was there in time to get a picture of him or anything!!).  Nice for cheers, horrible for ending a race!  I was so impressed with him - it taught me to have more confidence in my little runner...I was so worried that he wouldn't do as well as he thought he would.  I'm so proud...can't wait until he is able to join the cross country team this coming summer - he'll LOVE it!! :)
