And yet I'm on the computer instead. It's been a while since I've updated so I thought I'd check in. We are finally putting in our basement. After selling my truck (sob...sob...sniff) we decided to use the money to get the basement done. We really have no choice since our newest little one is making it so that we
have to get more space made for everyone to fit. We are giving the big kids their own rooms for Christmas - so it's been a whirlwind of activity here. My in-laws have been fantastic helping us out - they gave us $200 toward it (the amount they usually spend on our family for Christmas) and my father-in-law framed and wired everything down there in 2 weeks. Trent put up all of the insulation and did the plumbing and we have had the sheet rock work going on all this week. There's a guy down there now sanding and putting on the 2nd or 3rd coat of mud. I've had carpet guys out this week to give us quotes, we've gone to the after Thanksgiving sales to find bedroom furniture for the boys, and we are going to borrow my bro-in-law's paint sprayer, nail gun, and trailer for garbage this weekend. I'm getting excited to have so much extra space...the boys are getting SO big - they really do need a space of their own. I just feel bad - I mean really....that I haven't been able to help out very much. I've been on clean-up duty - at least I can sweep! My poor boys packed everything from the basement out into the garage - I took the lighter bags and boxes, but they had to carry out all of the larger totes and furniture. I won't be able to help paint, but perhaps I can help put up the baseboards.
I also hate being stuck here at home....it's not like I have tons of things to do - I just hate the thought of being stuck here because I have people working on the basement and I don't dare leave them here alone. I haven't been able to go on my RS visits. Trent has been in Texas for the past few days so...I've been bored. It's actually been a good thing - I've been getting a lot of the deep cleaning done that I've been neglecting. I've also got all of our Christmas and upcoming birthday presents all bought...now I just have to wait for them to be delivered and get them off of the porch before the kids see them. (I LOVE free shipping! Tooele has NO stores so I'd have to drive into SLC to get things....plus I can do my shopping without the kids knowing what I'm doing. Helps me be sneakier!)
Oh well - I've got a dr appointment today and I haven't done the dishes yet so I'll get going. I really need to get another belly pic posted, but we left the diaper bag with the camera at my sis-in-laws house when we were there for Thanksgiving...maybe I'll take one with my itouch. :)
